JOB DESCRIPTION
Algol Semantics is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to work as member of the Business Development team. He should be responsible for selling our offerings of outsourcing of software, services and IT solutions directly to customers and partners. Other responsibilities of Business Development Managers would include maximizing existing clients and at the same time developing new business relationships with potential strategic clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Self starter and a go getter with knowledge of Ottawa Hi-tech/ Government opportunities
High-level knowledge of sales in the IT industry
Implement sales strategy that will promote sales
Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations
Conduct detailed requirements analyses and manage the customer evaluation process
Perform technical account management and reporting to management
Expansion of sales channels
Ability to be flexible in sales strategy as the market evolves
Exceptional relationship building skills ensuring strong strategic partnerships with key account customers, other technology companies and system integrators
Excellent leadership qualities
Customer-oriented, proactive approach to understanding needs and resolving problems
Analytically mind with ability to solve problems under pressure
Excellent prospecting skills and a large network of contacts
Ability to take ownership of a sales strategy
Awareness and up to date with the latest market strategies and technologies
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Prior experience in successfully selling complex business-to-business software solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Science/ Business/ Engineering or an equivalent combination of education from reputed university
Five to ten years of sales experience in the field of high information technology or relevant.
